Ahead of a hearing regarding the Affordable Homes Act at the Massachusetts State House on Jan. 18, the Coalition to Create the Martha’s Vineyard Housing Bank is calling upon all Islanders to submit written testimony to the joint committee on housing in support of the housing bank and local option transfer fee. Supporters have between now and Jan. 18 at 5 p.m. to send in their testimony.
The coalition requests that Islanders go to ccmvhb.org/testimony where they will be able to fill out a quick submission form to submit testimony to the Joint Committee on Housing.
“You don’t have to be a housing expert to make your voice heard,” says Arielle Faria, co-chair of the coalition.
It’s about volume. The more people who submit testimony, the likelier our legislation will pass.
Please feel free to contact noah@ccmvhb.org with any questions.
