The following cases were heard in Edgartown district court.
Jan. 16
Stephen W. Luce, 52, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Jan. 12 charges in Oak Bluffs of possessing a large capacity firearm, two charges of possessing a large capacity feeding device, improperly storing a large capacity firearm, possessing ammunition without a firearms identification card, possession with intent to distribute a class E drug (coarisoprodol), possession with intent to distribute a class E drug (modofinil), a charge of trafficking in 18 grams of more but less than 36 grams of a Class B drug (cocaine) and possession of a Class C drug (steroids) with intent to distribute. Defendant held on account of dangerousness at Dukes County Correctional Facility through Jan. 18 when detention hearing was held. Defendant filed petition for review of hold status. Probable cause hearing scheduled for Feb. 15. Status review scheduled for May 10.
Jan. 18
Ryan I. Camacho, 22, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Jan. 17 charges in Edgartown of trafficking in 18 grams or more and less than 36 grams of cocaine, conspiracy to violate drug law and possession with intent to distribute a Class E drug (cocaine). Defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for Feb. 22.
Baylee A. Francis, 23, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Jan. 17 charges in Edgartown of trafficking in 18 grams or more and less than 36 grams of cocaine, conspiracy to violate drug law and possession with intent to distribute a Class E drug (cocaine). Defendant released on personal recognizance and payment of $150 counsel fee, and with further conditions to check in twice weekly with Probation unless employed and doing this would interfere. Preconference hearing scheduled for March 25.
Salli Hart, 59, of Vineyard Haven, was arraigned on Jan. 17 charges in Vineyard Haven of no inspection sticker, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Defendant released on personal recognizance. Pretrial hearing scheduled for March 4.
Jan. 19
Travis J. Viera, 23, of Edgartown, was arraigned on Jan. 19 charges in Edgartown of unarmed burglary and assault, breaking and entering at nighttime for the purpose of committing a felony, assault and battery, intimidating a witness, juror, police or court official, violating an abuse prevention order, and assault and battery on a family or household member. Counsel fee waived. Defendant held at Dukes County Correctional Facility on preliminary finding of dangerousness. Detention hearing scheduled for Jan. 25.
