Our annual Memorial Day March to the Sea will step off at 12:15 p.m. from the Tisbury school. The children will carry their flowers, parade down Main street and assemble at the flagpole in Owen Park. Then they will head to the harbor to toss their floral offerings in memory of the men and women who have served our country. Of course our Main street will be closed to cars at this time. I’ll see you there.

The senior prom went off fabulously last weekend. There were so many gorgeous pictures of our kids all dressed up. First photos were taken at the Gay Head lighthouse. One couple even posted their picture from the Flying Horses! Then the party headed to the Outermost Inn. Can’t beat that for a prom.

Our season of First Fridays is beginning. There is a change in format. Beach Road Extension will host a stand alone art exhibit from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., then the party moves to Owen Park for food, music, song and camaraderie.
