First Lady Jill Biden will make a visit to the Vineyard later this month to campaign for her husband, President Joe Biden.

The event is planned for an undisclosed location in Vineyard Haven on July 29, according to an invitation obtained by the Gazette Thursday.

“Please join me at an exciting event with First Lady Jill Biden on Martha’s Vineyard,” organizer Robin Leeds, the CEO of Winning Strategies, wrote in the invitation. “This is a unique opportunity to meet Jill on her first visit to the island this cycle and get more engaged with the campaign.”

The event is part of the Biden Victory Fund as President Biden makes his bid for a second term later this year.

Comedian and former late night show host David Letterman, a frequent visitor to the Vineyard, will be a special guest, according to the invitation.

Biden Victory Fund official Mark Hickey and Ms. Leeds did not immediately respond to a request for comment Thursday.

Other organizers include Hawaii Gov. Josh Green and his wife Jamie Kanani Green, Kenneth and Dede Feinberg, Carol and C. Bernard Fulp, Eric Green and Carmin Reiss.

Tickets to the event, which hinge on a donation, range from $2,500 to $25,000.

The address for the event was to be granted upon RSVP.

Ms. Leeds held a reelection fundraiser for the Biden campaign last summer, with Vice President Kamala Harris attending an event in August.

Ms. Biden made a swing through the Cape and Islands last year, visiting Provincetown and Nantucket for campaign events.
