Tisbury holds its annual town election Tuesday, two weeks after the two-day April town meeting.

Polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m. in the emergency services building at 215 Spring street.

Absentee ballots may be cast through May 12 in the town hall lobby at 51 Spring street, between 8:30 a.m. and noon.

Most of the town offices on the ballot are uncontested, with two exceptions.

Alicia Lesnikowska is challenging incumbent Michael Watts for a three-year term on the Tisbury school committee. A single three-year seat on the board of health has three candidates, none of whom is an incumbent: William Henry O’Brien, George A. Santos, Jr. and Israel Ziegenhorn.

Unopposed candidates on the ballot, a sample of which is posted on the town website, include retired Tisbury fire chief John Schilling for town moderator, Martha’s Vineyard Commission member Bernadette Cormie for planning board and incumbent John Cahill for select board.
