Obviously, this community has made a great mistake. No one invited me to the prom last weekend. So I am in need of prom photos. Don’t make this error next year!

Jim and Carol Osborn never forget to send me an annual update on their widely dispersed family, adult kids and grandkids. My letter arrived last week. One of my son’s best friends at school here is Chris Osborn, now married to Lisa and living in her home country of Norway. They have three boys. Jeremy is living here now. Florida and Indiana are also on their family’s travel roster. Thank you for staying in touch.

The Bemuses, Eileen and Alan, have returned from Connecticut to their Island home. I know when they return, they are like sunshine itself, but they almost always bring rainy weather.

Heads up for June 1. The building bridges coalition of our Brazilian community is hosting a festival with food, music, dancing, kids, games and animals from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Agricultural Hall in West Tisbury. Would you like to help? Volunteer at education@mvmediation.org.

Michael Blanchard is opening his Crossroads Gallery this weekend on May 24 in the Arts District of Oak Bluffs. He has photography and new metal prints. His new calendars have arrived. Michael will close the Gallery from the last weekend in May through June 7. He is returning to Florida for his Dad’s services.

The birthday bandwagon pulled along Silvio Spiconardi on May 16, and on May 17 Betsy McPherson and Marie Doubleday took the cake. Many happy returns.
