Bloomsday returns on Saturday, June 13, thanks to Arts and Society, and the steadfast creative determination of organizer John Crelan.
The event celebrates the work of James Joyce, and is named after Leopold Bloom, the character in his novel Ulysses. The book takes place during one day, June 16, 1904, and many places around the world set their Bloomsday clock around June 16. The Vineyard dares to be different, so on June 13 head over to the Katharine Cornell Theatre to revel in the performances of Peter Boak, Ian Chickering, Molly Conole, Mark Lovewell, Pam Schnatterly, Isadora Toccolinni and Becky Williams. The show starts at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $25 and may be purchased at the door or in advance tickets at Bunch of Grapes bookstore, cash or check only.
