Tomorrow night offers a real treat. The brilliant red planet Mars will appear close to the gibbous moon. Both are in the zodiacal constellation Pisces, and not far from under the zodiacal constellation Aries.

The two rise in the eastern sky about two hours after sunset. Wait a little longer and their true brilliance appears. Mars is so bright, compared to where it was a few months ago.
Mars is just one month away from being at its closest to the Earth. If you are enjoying Mars take a look in all the nights of September as it gets closer and closer and thus brighter and brighter.

At the same hour look to the western sky for Jupiter and Saturn. Jupiter is the brighter of the two. And while they’ve been slipping away from each other in the last month, they will begin to appear closer and closer through autumn.
