Following a two-year pandemic hiatus, the Kids Trout Derby will return at first light on Saturday, April 9 for its 45th year. The Martha’s Vineyard Rod & Gun Club presents the event, purchasing hundreds of trout to stock in Duarte’s Pond, off Lambert's Cove Road in West Tisbury. 

The derby is free for kids up to age 14. Hot dogs, donuts, coffee and hot chocolate will be available. No experience is necessary. Volunteers will be available to help neophytes.
