Emily Hanson and Evan Merck of Maynard are pleased to announce the birth of a baby boy, Arden Iver Hanson, born April 9 at 10:46 a.m. at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton. Arden weighed 8 pounds 5.7 ounces and was 21.6 inches long at birth. He will be making his first trip to the Vineyard soon, accompanying his parents to Menemsha as a likely first stop.
