My newly adopted turkey is Thumbelina. She is a little limping girl, arriving daily for her food fix. Not sure what happened to her but an older male turkey keeps a watchful eye. She is a delight.

The Tisbury town picnic is back on for Memorial Day. The Flying Elbows will perform. It will be great to see our friends and neighbors after the long lockdown.

Janet Messineo Israel, our local author and famous fisher will be signing her book Casting Into the Light at Edgartown Books this Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. I’ll see you there.

Carol Osborn is returning from her amazing trip to Kenya. I can’t wait to debrief her over tea. She has sent fabulous pictures.

I am so sad to report that my dear friend Margaret Mary Fairchild has passed. She was a wonderful person. I shall miss her forever.

Get well wishes go to my sister in law Nancy Gardella. She was going to visit me but health concerns intervened.

The birthday bandwagon celebrated Mimi Davisson and Malcolm Smith on May 17. Many happy returns.
