On Saturday, June 24, the West Tisbury Public Library will hold a book launch for Borders to Bridges: Arts-Based Curriculum for Social Justice. The book is authored by writer, editor and educator Lynn Ditchfield, PhD, an Edgartown resident and former chair of world languages at the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School. Artist and teacher Janice Frame, also of Edgartown, worked as the arts consultant for the project.

The independently-published book includes practical lessons plans, narratives, poetry, mixed media artwork and resources for parents and educators to learn about critical issues.

The launch event will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Ms. Ditchfield and Ms. Frame will speak and a Q&A featuring other local contributors and partners will follow. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.
