If you were visiting and shopping over Labor Day Weekend at the Agricultural Society’s hall you were in for a double treat. Starting Friday afternoon from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. was the opening of the Vineyard Artisan Festivals. Then on Saturday, starting at 9 a.m., was the West Tisbury Farmers’ Market in full swing with the Vineyard Artisans together.

The West Tisbury Farmers’ Market includes Island farmers, growers, fishermen and foodies. The Vineyard Artisans are made up of full-time Islanders. All their art is hand-made, and they have had the privilege these last 29 years of showcasing their wares at the Agricultural Society’s hall.

The combination of these two very popular shopping groups was a hit, and we hope everyone enjoyed seeing us together as much as we enjoyed seeing our customers.

The West Tisbury Farmers’ Market is ongoing through October on the Agricultural Society grounds. The Vineyard Artisans will be at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury on Sundays in September, and on October 12 and 13. The Artisans Festival returns to the Agricultural Hall for Thanksgiving weekend.
