Haunted Island. Our Queen of the Night, Holly Nadler, will give a talk at the Martha’s Vineyard Museum on ghostly phenomenon on our island. Interestingly, she will cover a ghost story that occurred at the old Marine Hospital, which now houses the Martha’s Vineyard Museum. Can’t get too far away from anything on this small Island.
The Fishing Derby ended with Carmelo Torres as the winner of the brand new Eastern Boats work vessel. Congratulations on your 8 lbs. bonita!
My son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Lilly Clark, took a weekend away from Rockford, Ill. to attend a Fantasy Ball in Indiana last weekend. They had an amazing time! Their costumes were excellent and the attendees had spectacular fantasy costumes on. Chris and Lilly are already planning next year’s ball.
Our esteemed author, Ivan Cox, leaves the Island mid-November for a Norwegian Epics Cruise. The cruise is called Cruise Ship Doctor Cruise. You probably know author Ivan Cox by the name of our multi-talented Dr. Gerry Yukovitch. Gerry never sits still.
There was a celebration of the life and legacy of naturalist Gus Ben David at the Ag Hall on Oct. 15. Approximately 300 family members and friends arrived to celebrate.
The Celebration of Life for dear Louisa Leuning was held at the P.A. Club on Saturday Oct. 19. Her children and her sister attended as well as her many loving friends.
Continued sympathy goes out to David Merritt and friends of David’s older brother, Bob Merritt, who passed last week.
Get Well wishes go out to Lew “Andy” Anderson who is recovering from a crash. A truck hit him when he was returning in his small car after having a checkup on his heart attack. Andy and I have been friends for years.
The birthday bandwagon pulled along Jordan Thompson Murphy on Oct. 16. Jordan’s grandmother, Patsy Weaver Murphy followed with her birthday on Oct. 17. Many happy returns.
