Golf Tournament

Ann Heron, Tom Prendergast, Connie O’Doherty, Norman Vunk and Payton Wallace took top honors at the 18th Annual Children’s Benefit Golf Tournament, held June 3 at Farm Neck Golf Club. But the real winners of the day may have been the Boys & Girls Club and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Martha’s Vineyard, which raised more than $38,000 from the tournament.

“We lucked out by having such a nice day for the tournament,” said Peter Lambos, executive director of the Boys & Girls Club, as well as a Big Brother.

Donald McGrath, Lee Guittar, Rich Peterson, Richie Yuen and Mike Holenko took second place in the benefit golf tournament. Joann Mettler, Matt Marchand, Parker Crowell, Asa French and John Sullivan came in third.

The tournament was sponsored by Morton Financial, Edgartown National Bank and Vineyard Vines.
