Frances Priscilla Osborne Ambrose of Rappahannock Westminster Canterbury in Irvington, Va., died on Oct. 11. She was 88.

A former longtime summer resident of Edgartown, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Gerald Ambrose, and was the daughter of the late Abeel D. and Frances T. Osborne.

She is survived by a son, William G. Ambrose Jr. of Poland, Me.; a daughter, Catherine A. Smith of Fredricksburg, Va.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Historic Christ Church Burying Ground in Irvington with the Rev. David May officiating.
