Anne K. (Manley) Lemenager of Fairhaven died on Oct. 27 at home surrounded by her loving children.
She was the daughter of the late Edward L. Manley Sr. and Genevieve (Luce) Manley.
Ms. Lemenager lived in New Bedford for most of her life until moving to Martha’s Vineyard in 1973. She left in 2000 and settled in Fairhaven. She graduated from Holy Family High School and St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing. She served as supervisor of the long-term care unit at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital and taught the nurse’s aide program at Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School. She also enjoyed working as a private duty nurse.
Survivors include her son, Stephen E. Lemenager and his wife Laurie; three daughters, Justine M. Woodard and her husband Billy, Jane A. Ragone and her husband Paul, and Mary Beth Carstens and her husband Joel; and six grandchildren, Ryan M. and Darren M. Brown, Emily J. and Joshua R. Becker, Jeremy L. Lemenager, and Claire Anne Carstens. She is also survived by one brother, Thomas Manley of New Bedford and one sister, Mary Close of Aurora, Colorado.
She was predeceased by her brothers Edward L. Manley Jr. and Martin S. Manley, and sisters, Barbara Lachapelle, Martha MacMullen and Margaret Butler.
A memorial mass was celebrated on Nov. 2 at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in New Bedford. Interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
