Survivors of Genocide

Dr. Demaris Wehr, a psychotherapist in private practice on the Vineyard and the author of Jung and Feminism: Liberating Archetypes, will deliver a talk on her experiences in Bosnia, titled Survivors of the Genocide, at the Vineyard Haven library on Tuesday, November 10, at 7 p.m. Dr. Wehr worked in Bosnia as an associate of the Karuna Center for Peacebuilding during the summers of 2000 to 2002, attended a seminar in Sarajevo in 2003, and interviewed survivors to learn how they made it through the genocide, what their healing looked like, the ways in which they were helped and the lessons that can be can gleaned from them. The talk is free and open to the public.
