Christian S. Brilhante

Christian S. Brilhante of Woonsocket, R.I., died Wednesday, March 3, at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket. He was 72.

Christopher, as he was also known, was born in New Bedford on Nov. 19, 1931, son of the late Christiano S. Brilhante Sr. and Alexandriana Joly. He was married in 1952 to Florence DeMello, who died in 1988.

He was a carpenter and after retirement transported cars for a Rhode Island car dealership.

He is survived by a son, John Brilhante; a sister, Rita Ferriera and her husband, John, of Oak Bluffs.

His Funeral Mass will be held in Sacred Heart Church, Oak Bluffs at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 6. A visitation will be held in the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home in Oak Bluffs on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Oak Bluffs. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
