The Jewish holiday of Hanukkah began on Wednesday evening. At the Martha's Vineyard Hebrew Center the very young gathered with friends and family for the lighting of the hanukkiahs. Rabbi Caryn B. Broitman spoke of the history and the significance of this important observance.
