The Bang Group is back and, really, it’s no longer Christmas without them. Last winter the Yard brought the dance troupe up from New York city to perform Nut/Cracked, a decidedly modern dance take on the Nutcracker. Think humor, fantasy and wild dancing, from tap to disco to ballet and beyond. It will change forever how you think and feel about the holiday staple that is the Nutcracker.

The Bang Group arrives for a one-night only performance on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. The show takes place at the Martha’s Vineyard Performing Arts Center, at the regional high school. Tickets are $25 general admission, $15 for seniors, and $5 for children and military.
