On the fourth day of the new year, the first baby born on the Island made her arrival at Martha's Vineyard Hospital.

Acacia Vitoria Lima was born Wednesday, Jan. 4 at 9:03 a.m., welcomed by her parents Viviane and Adriano Lima of Vineyard Haven and her older sister Clarice.

Acacia weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces at birth and measured 18.75 inches long.
