On the day that America celebrates its independence, and Edgartown holds the big parade, another kind of parade streamed through the tiny avenues of the Camp Ground in Oak Bluffs. This year is the 20th anniversary of the kids' parade.

Bob and Jodie Falkenburg launched the parade, riding on a golf cart decked out in red, white and blue. The marching band, composed of volunteer musicians followed close on their heels, with children gaily waving flags marching (and riding bikes) behind.
