I felt sorry for any bride getting married this past Saturday with the rain, but they always say that if it rains on a bride it is good luck. Try and make the best of the situation. Then we went to heat and humidity, but it is August what more can we expect.
Happy birthday to all who celebrated their day this past week. Big balloons go out to Gabrielle Guimaraes, who celebrated her day August 12; Holden Graczylowski, William Pate II and Deborah Silva, August 14; and to Bethany Cardoza, who celebrated August 17.
I have been listening to parents who are getting ready to send their children off to college. There are those families who have been through the transition already and are looking forward to sending their kids off to get their house back and peace and quiet. Then there are those who are sending their first child off to their first semester of school, and are having a hard time adjusting to say goodbye. Of course the kids are like, yay let’s go, yet a little nervous on what is to be. Whatever your case, may we wish you a happy and studious school year.
By the time you read this Illumination will have happened, the Agricultural Fair will be almost over, the fireworks are getting ready to go up and crowds will be gathering in many different places. It is hard to believe that summer is almost over and a lot of people have to go back to reality.
I traveled to Somerset this past weekend to attend my great niece Kaleigh Brown’s bridal shower. You forget when you cross the Bourne Bridge that the temperature goes up 10 degrees. But it was a great shower, and it was nice to be with family and it was good to get back home.
Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
