Spring is really trying to get here, but now we have to go through the fog stage. We were in deep fog when a customer came in and said the sun was shining brightly in Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs. But it is all good, the temperature is rising and the sun has been shining in the afternoon.

Adam Evans and his wife Leanna Fisher-Evans made a four-day trip to Los Angeles. They were there for Passover with Adams family, and Leanna experienced her first Seder. They also went to watch Adam’s cousin compete in a fencing tournament. Adam also saw cousins he had not seen in 30 years, and some he never met. They also went to Universal Studios in LA and walked down Hollywood Boulevard.

It was a fun, fully-packed trip and on their fourth day before they went to the airport, they drove through the area that just had the wildfires. Adam said the destruction was totally overwhelming. They are now home safely and recovering from the time changes over four days.

It was a busy Easter weekend. There was a lot of traffic, more cars than we had seen all winter, many Easter egg hunts with perfect weather for them, and lots of family gatherings. Now the race is on to clean up everything for Memorial Day.

Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
