Emma Strafford MacDonald, 28, and Irene Margaret O’Brien, 27, will be married Saturday, June 16, at the Allen Farm in Chilmark. Jesse Thompson will officiate. The ceremony will be followed by dinner and dancing.

The couple met at Boston University, from which they both graduated.

Ms. MacDonald is the daughter of Alex MacDonald and Dr. Maureen Strafford of Cambridge, who are also longtime summer residents of Chilmark.

Ms. O’Brien is the daughter of Edward F. O’Brien 3rd of Falmouth and Siobhan O’Brien of Quincy.

The couple lives in Fort Greene, Brooklyn with their golden retriever, Gus. Ms. MacDonald is the label manager for the musician Lauv. Ms. O’Brien is an attorney and serves as director of legal at Superfly, the festival promoter behind Bonnaroo and Outside Lands.

They look forward to toasting their marriage surrounded by 230 of their closest friends and family, and Gus looks forward to celebrating what we believe he thinks is his own belated birthday party.
