Island men stood on the Vineyard Haven seawall on Saturday and showed a unified stance against domestic violence. Each held a poster indicating a woman they wished to honor, and sent a message that the majority of Island men do not tolerate violence against women.

The event is an initiative of Connect to End Violence’s Vineyard Men for Abuse Prevention group, which was founded in 2012 to bring together men who want to build a safe community for their loved ones.
