Tisbury police chief Dan Hanavan departs the Tisbury police department today, quietly and without any fanfare, in keeping with his wishes. It is a choice that reflects the style in which he served the town over his long policing career. I am certain that I speak for many residents and Island visitors: Thank you Chief Hanavan for your service to our community.
