Victoria Gibb, Age 70, Was Edgartown Native

Victoria A. Gibb of New Bedford died on Friday, Oct. 25, at the Mariner Health of Southeastern Massachusetts after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 70 years old.

Born in Edgartown, she was a daughter of the late George Pease and Alice Fisher Pease. She was graduated from the Edgartown High School and spent most of her life in New Bedford. She worked as a teller for several banks, including the Bridgewater Credit Union, Fleet Bank and the Edgartown National Bank.

Mrs. Gibb enjoyed reading, crocheting, country music and cats.

She is survived by three sons, Allan R. Gibb and his wife, Jeanne, of New Bedford; Ronald J. Gibb and his wife, Marcia, of New Bedford, and John Gibb and his wife, Jennifer, of Oak Bluffs; a daughtrer, Pamela Rogers of South Yarmouth; a sister in law, Juliette Masse of New Bedford; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was the sister of the late Lillian Landry and Clara, John, Richard, Milton and Marshall Pease.

Services are private. Arrangements are by the Brooklawn Funeral Home, 15 Irvington Court, New Bedford.
