Malcolm G. Keniston, 94, Was Native of Edgartown

Malcolm G. Keniston of Main street, Edgartown, husband of Marion E. (Leonard) Keniston, died Sunday, June 27, at the Royal Nursing Center in Falmouth. Malcolm was born in Edgartown on April 9, 1910, a son of the late Allen and Mercy Vaughn (Goodrick) Keniston. He was a graduate of Edgartown High School class of 1928. He also attended Cushing Academy in Ashburnham.

Mr. Keniston worked for Edgartown Water Company, Edgartown Hardware and K.T. Galley Company of Edgartown. He was a member of the Edgartown United Methodist Church. He volunteered his time and talents to his town, serving as chairman of the holiday decorating committee. His hobbies included radio building, coin and stamp collecting and curio collecting.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Vaughn Keniston.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 17, in the Old Westside Cemetery, Edgartown, with the Rev. Nancy Collins officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Martha's Vineyard Community Services, Visiting Nurse Service, P.O. Box 369, Vineyard Haven, MA 02568. Arrangements are under the care of the Chapman, Cole and Gleason funeral home in Oak Bluffs.
