Richard Welton, 35, Was Resident of Palm Springs

Richard Cleveland Welton, youngest grandson of the late Irma Cleveland Hamblen, died Dec. 5 after a long illness. He was 35 years old.

Richard was born at the Martha's Vineyard Hospital on May 23, 1970. He changed his surname of Hamblen to that of Welton when his mother Joyce married the late H. Ward Welton. He lived in Palm Springs, Calif.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Welton; his sisters, Mary Beth Hamblen-Zirkle of Washington and Eleanor Hamblen of California, and his brother, David Hamblen Jr. of California.
