Emily M. Wilson, 71, Was Camp Ground Resident

Emily M. (Carson) Wilson died Feb. 9 at Tufts Medical Center. She was 71 years old.

She was born in Comeaus Hill, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia, on June 24, 1934. She was a graduate of Wareham High School. In 1975 she moved to the Vineyard, where she lived on the Camp Ground in Oak Bluffs.

She is survived by three sons, Alan Wilson of Vineyard Haven, Joseph Wilson and James Wilson of Oak Bluffs; a daughter, Donna Swartwood of Vineyard Haven, and five granddaughters.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Wilson, and her brother, James Carson.

A funeral service was held Feb. 15 at the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home in Wareham. Interment followed at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Wareham.
