Katharine G. Hoyt of Oak Bluffs, formerly of Goffstown, N.H., died at her daughter's Camp Ground home in Oak Bluffs on August 15.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lester Allan Hoyt.

Mrs. Hoyt was born in Salem on March 6, 1908, a daughter of William and Charlotte Rowe Johnson. She lived in Goffstown, N.H., for 45 years and was a member of the Goffstown Congregational Church. Mrs. Hoyt retired from New England Telephone Company. She moved to Oak Bluffs in 1985.

Survivors include her daughter Judith and her husband Lawrence Stearns of Oak Bluffs; two grandchildren, Barbara and her husband Tom Furino of Edgartown and David and his wife Robin Stearns of Sudbury; three great-grandchildren, Michael Furino, Kevin Stearns, and Mitchell Stearns; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Hoyt was also predeceased by great-grandson David Furino.

A private chapel service will be held at the Harmony Grove Cemetery in Salem. Interment will follow. Memorial donations may be made to Martha's Vineyard Drive For Life, In Memory of David Furino, P.O. Box 3354, Edgartown MA 02539.
