Irving Schiller died August 22. Mr. Schiller worked his entire professional career in public service, working more than 40 years with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., where he was an enforcement attorney and an administrative law judge.

Mr. Schiller was a man of faith and was one of the founding members of Temple Sinai in Washington, D.C. He served as temple president from 1962 to 1963.

He had a constant and delightful sense of humor. He loved spending summer holidays with his family on the Vineyard, where he built a summer home in 1952. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

He was the husband of Dr. Patricia Schiller; father of Louise Schiller and Jonathan Schiller; and grandfather of Zachary, Joshua, Aaron, Will and Isaac.

A funeral service was held at Temple Sinai in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, August 26.

Interment was in King David Memorial Garden, Falls Church, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to the Legal Aid Society.
