Harold C. (Bud) Roworth Jr. died peacefully at the age of 88, surrounded by his family, on Monday, Oct. 11 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

Born in East Orange, N.J., the son of the late Harold C. Roworth Sr. and Caroline B. Roworth, he served in the Air Force in World War II. A graduate of Drake Business School, he was an accountant with Standard Oil of New Jersey, as well as several automobile dealerships.

Bud was an avid golfer and Red Sox enthusiast. Having lived most of his life in New Jersey, he vacationed for over 70 years on the Vineyard and wintered in Palm City, Fla., and for the last eight years lived at Brooksby Village in Peabody.

He was the husband of Felicia D. Roworth for 64 years. He is also survived by his son, Robert A. and his wife, Maureen, of Whippany, N.J., and twin daughters, Patricia Lynn of Ipswich and Wendy Roworth Koch and her husband, Phillip, of Swampscott; two grandchildren, Robert J. and his wife, Cara, of Point Pleasant, N.J.; and Carey Provo and her husband, Kevin, of Cedar Knolls, N.J.; and two great-grandchildren, Regan and Stella of Point Pleasant, N.J.

Services will be private.
