Madeleine Elizabeth Bacheller died on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at the Henrietta Brewer House in Vineyard Haven. She was 94 and was the devoted mother of John and his wife, Weit Bacheller, of Vineyard Haven and the loving grandmother of Natasha Bacheller of Hood River, Ore., and Andrew Bacheller of Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

A funeral service will be held in the Chapman, Cole and Gleason Funeral Home in Oak Bluffs on Saturday, Jan. 29 at 2 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Robert Hensley. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Vineyard Haven.

Donations may be made in her memory to the Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard. Make checks payable to County of Dukes County, P.O. Box 190, Edgartown, MA 02539 and write Animal Shelter in the memo.
