Katherine Wilson Farrow Jorrens, who brought such joy and brightness to the world, died on Sept. 25.

Ed Jerome, former Edgartown School principal and longtime Martha’s Vineyard Striped Bass and Bluefish Derby president, died on Sept. 18.

Inez Kurn Janger of West Tisbury died on Tuesday, Sept. 11. She was 81.

Cathy Janson died following a heart attack while at her home in Vineyard Haven on Sept. 17, 2017. She was 67.

Joseph A. Jones of Vineyard Haven died suddenly on Monday, July 30 at the Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. He was 29.

Charles H. Jones died on Oct. 9, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 100.

Frederick A. (Fritz) Jacobi, a longtime summer resident of Martha’s Vineyard, died peacefully on April 1. He was 96.

Barbara L. Jackson of Milton, formerly of Boston, died unexpectedly on March 5. She was 93.

Gerald (Jerry) Jeffers Sr., affectionately known to many as the mayor of Chappaquiddick, died peacefully in the early evening of Oct. 23.
