Dr. Matthew J. Stephens Jr., of Wallingford, Pa. and Lagoon Heights died on Friday, July 14. He was 86.

Leon Hughes Sample, a devoted husband, father, grandad, brother, uncle and friend, died on July 2 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 77.

Jane-Ellen Estey Peters of Stamford, Conn. and Vineyard Haven died on Friday, June 2 after a short illness.

Alexander Aldrich, known as Sam, died peacefully at The Wesley Community in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. on Wednesday, July 19. He was 89.

Scott J. Amaral died on Saturday morning, July 22 at his home in Edgartown. He was 48.

Born August 21, 1929, Richard (Dick) Cox was a pioneer in the broadcasting industry. His first job was as an usher at CBS Radio at age 16.

Terry Hass (Marie Thérèse Loveday) died after bravely facing leukemia.

Alexander Bass died of complications from pneumonia at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston on Monday, July 10. He was 75.

Frank R. Jardin of Edgartown and North Fort Myers, Fla. died on June 14. He was 89.
