Katrina (Trina) Blackwood, a former teacher at the Tisbury School, died Sept. 18, surrounded by her daughters.

James Louis Adler Jr. died on Sept. 10 in Danbury, Conn, after his family had gathered around him.

Dolores Tinney Valeriano of Oak Bluffs died on Sept. 4 at her home.

Andrew (Andy) Marvel Jr. died peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 5, at his home in Falmouth.

Eleanor M. Kowalchek died Sept. 1 at the Knollwood Military Retirement Community. She was 80.

A funeral mass for Jennifer Colligan Kuehne will be held on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church in Vineyard Haven.

Margaret (Maggie) Schwartz, formerly of Music street in West Tisbury, died on Sept. 10. She was an educator, volunteer and compassionate friend.

Dr. John C. Hartley died on August 30. He was 70 and was a well-known Edgartown dentist.
