Painter Linda Carnegie has brought her creative touch to a variety of media, from the pediatrics wing at Mass General to illustrations for Shirley Mayhew's children's book Islander. She has also brought beloved literary characters to life in the children's room at the West Tisbury Public Library, where she recently completed a mural featuring Wilbur, Charlotte and the gang from Charlotte's Web. Nearby she has created murals depicting wild animals, Nancy Luce and her beloved chickens, and characters from British literature in honor of a children's librarian.
"I love doing stuff for children," the painter said.
