Island Light: Plenty of Time

There was  a reassuring quality to Island weather this week. People were at the beach, where they should be. The morning sun woke early and bold, eagerly wiping the dew off the grass with no fog or drizzle to make the task difficult. We may at last have the summer we know so well. There's plenty of time.

I am a fan of the Gazette photo display each Sunday. One or more photos each session will evoke an emotion, a memory, a nostalgic feeling, a feeling of pride. This morning, the fire engines lined up brought a mist to these old eyes; so quintessentially American....as always, thank you for this feature and thank you to all the photographers who capture our life here on the island.
