Wind and rain arrived in force and set the tone for the day. A dog looked out the window and said no thanks, then turned back to the nap in progress. The same thought was had by many, although some hardy souls went out to have a look at what the storm had wrought. On the beaches and jetties, the waves had their say. On the trails and roads, the branches and leaves held sway. And so it goes, during these last days of September, when nature calls out loudly that she is still in charge.
