Back flipping off the Fish Pier in Oak Bluffs. Tim Johnson

Sunday, June 28, 2020

Wednesday morning brings a small turn of the calendar page, but a giant leap for the whole Island community. For Wednesday brings July, and July begins the grand journey we call Vineyard summer. We push away from the shore of June, so many of us from so many places and so many different backgrounds, drawn together to share in this Island's sparkling passage through a season that will wait for us no longer. Summer is here, says July, and we must seize the day.

OH, my goodness. Love, love, love, (inanimate object, a picture, I know) that picture, it made my morning. Just the best thing to wake up to a joy like that. Your photographs are simply superb.

Wow, gorgeous, per usual, but the first two in the series are even more so to me, as they remind me of Arthur Leipzig’s East River Divers.

This group nicely visually explains some aspects of the Vineyard. Thanks for the mood raise.
