June is the month of bursting colors and beguiling aromas, and now we are on the threshold of summer. The new season officially arrives a bit more than two weeks from now, and truer yet are the warm days and cool nights of early June.

If all were well and good I'd be on the island today for the start of a 5 day return to my former home. For consolation, I promised myself an hour on the Gazette's site going through your photos. This collection by Tim was my first stop and they are truly the next best thing to being there. These images alight the senses and bring me home to the place I love. Put more simply, thank you.
