More than 150 Vineyard students took the stage Thursday at the Performing Arts Center for the Island-Wide Elementary String Concert. Students from second through eighth grade, led by instructors Nancy Jephcote and Chelsea Pennebaker, performed pieces ranging from  Mozart's Minuet for Orchestra to the traditional finale of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. The strings program is offered free at all Island schools, and is so popular that an expanded program will begin next school year.
