Eviction proceedings are under way against the owner of Airport Mobil as a lease dispute with the Martha’s Vineyard Airport commission lingers in court.
A long-running rent dispute between Dukes County and the Martha's Vineyard Airport dissolved Wednesday in an amicable resolution.
Airport commissioners used a letter prepared by fellow commissioner and county commission chairman John S. Alley as a blueprint to spell out when and where rent would be paid by the county or its agencies, and where the county would use airport property essentially rent-free.
Comcast announced this week that it will relocate its Island customer service center from Vineyard Haven to a larger, more centrally located office at the airport business park on Dec. 17.
The new facility at 19 East Line Road will offer customers additional parking and a larger and more comfortable lobby area than Comcast’s current location on State Road in Vineyard Haven. The center will feature the full range of Comcast’s products and also will serve as home base for the company’s on-Island technical staff.
