The Vineyard community helped pave the way for local students by bestowing over $2 million in college scholarships and workforce tuition at its annual Class Night celebration.
The Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School kicked off a weekend of celebrations Friday with Class Night, a presentation of scholarship awards to members of the graduating class of 2023.
At Friday night's Class Night ceremony, graduating seniors and post graduates received scholarships, grants and other awards totaling over $2 million, breaking a record set last year.
A total of $1.79 million in scholarships was handed out this year to Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School seniors and postgraduates, setting a new record.
This year’s Class Night celebration held on Friday night at the Tabernacle in Oak Bluffs included 157 scholarships exceeding $1,555,414 to graduating seniors and other Island students.
