With the sale of Flatbread, a musical era at the building that once housed The Hot Tin Roof comes to a close. New owner Brion McGroarty will open a restaurant named Tin Hangar.
On Saturday, around 350 people arrived at MV Wine and Spirits, the Island's newest liquor store to smell, sip and savor a vast selection of craft beer. Rachel White said her favorite was Purple Monkey Dishwasher Chocolate Peanut Butter Porter, created by the Evil Genius Beer Company.
After nearly a quarter century of doing business in downtown Edgartown, Town Provisions — now called MV Wine & Spirits — has reopened for business near the airport.
Construction is scheduled to begin this week on a new liquor store near the airport.
Brion McGroarty, who has operated Town Provisions in downtown Edgartown for 23 years, plans to move the store to a new 2,700 square foot building that will be an addition to the Flatbread Company, a family pizza restaurant on Airport Road.
