The first baby of the new year was born Monday morning at Martha's Vineyard Hospital.

Gabriel Cardoso Oliveira weighed seven pounds at birth. He was welcomed by parents Karlla and Douglas Oliveira of Oak Bluffs and big brother Guilherme.

Born in the wee hours on Jan. 3 during the snowstorm, Maicon Nilson Patricio weighed 8 pounds 14.7 ounces and measured 20.5 inches long. His parents are Amanda and Maicon Patricio of Oak Bluffs.

Isaac James Dacunto, the first baby born on Martha’s Vineyard in the new year, was delivered at 12:35 p.m. on Jan. 2 to parents Sheryl and Christopher Dacunto of Oak Bluffs at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. Isaac weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 20 inches.

Aliyah Breanna Bennett, the first baby born on Martha’s Vineyard in the new year, was delivered at 2:11 a.m. on Jan. 4 to parents Marva Henry and Donovan Bennett of Edgartown. Aliyah weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and measured 20 inches. She joins sisters Monique and Donamar and brother Andre.
