Summer days at Vineyard Family Tennis are filled with the sounds of kids learning the game.

For Vineyard Youth Tennis, the new year will bring a restart with a new facility, a new adult program and even a new name: Vineyard Family Tennis.

The community fund MVYouth this week awarded a $250,000 grant to Vineyard Youth Tennis to replace the bubble that allows for wintertime play.

Scott Smith, executive director at Vineyard Youth Tennis for the past 12 years, will leave in mid-August, the center recently announced.
